(2025): Will proof be attached to the tax return?

Select "yes" if information about a disability is provided for the first time in the assessment period 2022 or if there has been a change (e.g. in the degree of disability or the marks).

If a degree of disability of 50 or higher has been determined, submit the following documents as proof:

severely disabled pass or
statement from the social services office
statement from the care insurance fund for nursing care level (Pflegegrad) 4 or 5

If a degree of disability between 20 and 50 has been determined, you can provide proof using the following documents:

statement from the social services office pension
notice (Rentenbescheid) from statutory accident insurance (Unfallversicherung) or
in the case of civil servants who receive an accident pension (Unfallruhegeld) - by means of a notice from their authority.

Proof of the various marks can be provided by presenting the severely disabled person's identity card or by means of a statement from the social services office.
