As a rule, bereavement pension payments are made under the Federal War Victims Relief Act, under the Civil Service Act or via the statutory accident insurance plan. In the case of bereavement pension payments, proof by means of official documents is only to be provided at the request of the tax office.

As proof, you can submit the following documents to the tax office if they have not been submitted in previous years

• Pension approval notice from the social services office,
• Statement of the pension fund,
• Statement from the relevant compensation authority or
• Statement of an institution of the statutory accident insurance.
