Your child is considered unemployed if they:

• Are registered as unemployed with the employment agency.
• Are not in any employment relationship.
• Work in insured employment for a maximum of 15 hours per week. Children who only have a mini-job or earn no more than 556 Euro from self-employment are also considered unemployed.

For each month of unemployment, you are entitled to the pro rata child and education allowance if your child is between 18 and 21 years old.
