Field help: (2019) Help and services in the household

Tick this box if you have had expenses for household-related services or household-related jobs in your household.

In the case of household-related services, household work is carried out by a service company. The work must have been carried out by an independent service provider or a service agency.

In the case of household-related jobs (employment subject to social insurance contributions), the work is carried out by a person who is employed by you and this person is liable to social security insurance. This means that you have paid the mandatory social insurance contributions for the paid help in your household.

Beneficiary services include, for example,

• Cleaning of the apartment, windows and staircases and other common areas,
• Garden maintenance (e.g. lawn mowing, hedge trimming),
• Relocation service for private persons (deducting reimbursements from third parties).

Income tax is reduced by 20 percent of expenses (maximum 4.000 Euro).
