Select "yes" if your pension provider has paid the retirement-related flat-rate energy allowance to you in December 2022.

Only pensioners who reside in Germany are entitled to the flat-rate energy allowance. Spouses can both receive the allowance if they both receive pensions. If a person has several pensions, the flat rate is only available once.

Not eligible for the lump sum are pensioners of professional pension funds and statutory accident insurance.

Important: Those who have not received the flat-rate energy allowance despite being entitled to it can apply to the German Pension Insurance for Miners, Seafarers, Railway Workers (DRV Knappschaft-Bahn-See) for retrospective payment.

Note: In the tax return, the retirement-related flat-rate energy allowance can only be seen in the calculation. In the data transmitted to the tax office, the flat-rate energy allowance is not listed.
