The acquisition date is generally the day of purchase or the transfer of the asset into the taxpayer's private assets.

Newly purchased fund shares in 2024

If you purchased fund shares in 2024, the advance lump sum is only calculated for the months you already held the shares.

For each full month in 2024 that you did not yet own the shares, the flat rate is automatically reduced by 1/12 by Lohnsteuer kompakt.
