Field help: Did you have a different entitlement to child benefit in 2024?

If you were entitled to similar benefits (e.g. foreign child benefit, child benefits under the statutory accident and pension insurance) in 2024, select "Yes".

Important: The entitlement to child benefit is automatically determined on the basis of your entries and used as a basis for the further calculation of Lohnsteuer kompakt. Among other things, the following entries are necessary for a correct calculation of child benefit:

• Date of birth
• Place of residence during the year 2024
• Child relationship to Husband and Wife

The entitlement to child benefit is also always included in the so-called most favourable rate test (Günstigerprüfung). Whether you actually received child benefit or how much you received is irrelevant.
